Producing an hybrid overlay of cellular membranes referencing the structures of our built environment. Work in progress...        I am lucky to be working on some pieces for a show at the beautiful Regional Gallery; Suki and Hugh in Bungendore. The work is looking through nature and language as the catalyst for the work. Our joint exhibition, Defining Moments, curated by Aimee Frodsham, is on show at the Canberra Glassworks from January 25 to March 25 and coincides with the start of the biennial Ausglass Conference. Come along and see some beautiful work from around the country hosted by The Curatoreum at The National Portrait Gallery, from November 18 to 20. The Undercurrent Design Market - held in the award winning National Portrait Gallery, will be showcasing an array of contemporary, leading edge Australian-made design goodness (including work from us!). Avoid the Christmas rush and shop directly with the designers to buy something unique and exclusive.
 Our studio will be open from 11am until 4pm on Saturday 12 of November, 2016, as a part of Design Canberra. We will have various demonstrations, prototypes and seconds for sale of both exhibition work and production blown glass. Demonstrations include tube bending and a display of neon.  Matthew Curtis and Harriet Schwarzrock are both attending SOFA in Chicago from November 3 to 6 at the Navy Pier. Matthew is going with Habatat Galleries and Harriet is travelling with Kirra Galleries.  Our studio will be open from 10am to 4pm on Sunday 30 October as part of The Queanbeyan-Palerang Arts Trail. The Art Trail provides an ideal opportunity for local artists to showcase their work, and for visitors to see first-hand something of the unique creative process that goes into creating works of art and craft. It also provides a wonderful way to meet the artists, tour the studios, watch demonstrations and add to your private collection with original artwork available for sale.  |
